Hi, I’m Mrugal Shinde, a Clinical Psychologist, School Psychologist (Jnana Prabodhini Institute of Psychology, Pune University), Forensic Science professional, and Forensic Graphologist. I’m also the founder of The Open Ear. My journey in psychology has been shaped by both strong academic grounding and diverse experiences with global organizations. I have had the privilege of working with the International Council of Psychologists (ICP), the American Psychological Association (APA), and the Psychology Coalition at the United Nations (PCUN) — experiences that deepened my understanding of psychology’s role in creating sustainable, worldwide impact.
Through this work, I realized that psychology is too often seen as distant or clinical, when in reality it offers practical tools, including emotional intelligence and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, that can transform how we think, feel, and connect. These practices — from emotional awareness to resilience-building — can become a kind of psychological muscle memory, empowering individuals to carry strength and well-being into every part of life.
I started The Open Ear with the vision of making psychology practical, accessible, and transformative. My mission is to equip people with emotional intelligence, mental strength, and resilience while fostering a movement where listening, awareness, and well-being become everyday skills for healthier individuals, families, and societies across the globe.

I'm Mrs. Manisha Thorat, founder and a certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioner, psychology advocate, and practicing lawyer. My professional journey began in the field of law, where I worked closely with individuals navigating some of the most challenging ordeals of their lives. While supporting clients through legal battles, I recognized that many struggles extended beyond the courtroom — they were deeply rooted in thought patterns, emotions, and the need for resilience-building.
My search for deeper answers led me to the world of psychology and eventually to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). NLP opened a new perspective for me, illustrating how language, emotional intelligence, mindset, and behavior can be transformed to create lasting change. Today, as a certified NLP trainer, I utilize this knowledge to guide individuals in developing clarity, confidence, and mental well-being.
Alongside my legal and NLP practice, I also integrate my experience in Ayurveda and medicine, allowing me to merge holistic principles of health with modern psychological tools. This multidisciplinary foundation enables me to approach well-being from a balanced perspective — addressing both the mind and the body.
Through my work, my mission is to create awareness, empower individuals, and promote well-being in society by combining the strengths of law, psychology, NLP, and Ayurveda.
