Psychology Intern
An immersive, unpaid internship for students who are serious about building a clinical foundation — not just ticking a box.
About the Role
At The Open Ear, interns are not observers — they are contributors. You will work directly with our clinical team across individual counseling support, school psychoeducation programs, and community rehabilitation projects. You will be exposed to real client interactions (under supervision), program design, and documentation.
This internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and clinical practice. You will leave with a sharper understanding of applied psychology, a stronger professional identity, and the confidence to work in complex, real-world settings.
What You Will Do
- Assist in individual counseling sessions under direct clinical supervision
- Co-facilitate psychoeducation workshops in schools and community settings
- Conduct intake documentation, case notes, and progress tracking
- Support program design and curriculum development for workshops
- Participate in case discussions, debriefs, and reflective practice sessions
- Work alongside the team in government rehabilitation and community outreach projects
- Develop crisis-awareness skills and learn to work in high-pressure, critical conditions
Who Can Apply
- B.A Psychology or B.Sc Psychology — 3rd year students
- M.A Psychology — 1st year students
- Genuine interest in clinical and applied psychology
- Willingness to work in sensitive, high-stakes environments
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 2–3 days per week
